Texting privacy

Flakey Friday uses your phone number and selected time zone to verify your signup and send the weekly Friday reminder you request. We record your consent, verification status, and delivery status. We use a keyed hash of your network address to limit abusive signup attempts.

We do not sell or share mobile information, text-message opt-in data, or consent with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Twilio processes verification and delivery; our hosting and security providers process information needed to run and protect the service.

Phone numbers are encrypted in our database. Pending verification records expire after 10 minutes. Application delivery records are kept for up to 90 days. Our providers may retain their own operational records under their policies.

Reply STOP to stop reminders and remove your phone number from our active subscriber records. We retain a non-readable, keyed opt-out identifier to prevent unwanted re-enrollment. To join again, reply START and complete a new verified signup on this website.

The service sends one reminder each Friday at 6:30 AM in your selected time zone, plus signup verification and replies to service commands. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for service information. See the texting terms.
